Hoe doe ik mijn lenzen in en uit?

Vind je het moeilijk om je contactlenzen in en uit te doen? Of ben je de tips van je opticien even vergeten? We hebben speciaal voor jou een lijst met tips om je te helpen!

How to insert your contacts in 4 easy steps

1. Wash your hands:

Use a neutral soap preferably (not perfumed)Then dry your hands thoroughly with a clean, lint-free towel.

2. Be sure they aren't inside out: Place the lens on the tip of your finger and hold it up.

If the edges flare out, it’s inside out.

3. Now you're ready to start: Place your lens on the tip of your index finger of the hand you write with and position your head slightly tilted downwards, try to focus on the lens. With your other hand, hold up your upper eyelid with your finger. Don't blink for a few seconds, we know it’s hard. Pull down your lower eyelid with the second finger of your writing hand.

4. How to insert your lens: Keep a focus on the lens and bring the index finger close to your eye until the lens slips onto the eye. It’s important to fit the lens in eye centre and not on the white of your eye.
Then look up and down moving your eye only. The lens will be settled by itself. If you still feel it, you can gently move it a bit making some little circles with your finger and fixing it.
If you feel that the lens is dropping out instead, look down and up until you find the match with your eye.Once it is softly adhered to your eye close it, for a better fitting. Then repeat the same for the other eye.
For a better fitting experience, don’t place the mirror in front of you but flat on the table, this allows you to look down when you fit it, and the fit will be faster.AND MOST IMPORTANT: STAY CALM, YOU WILL SUCCEED!
